Cookie Policy

1. The short version
- Compyle uses only what it needs to work: your login token, your theme and layout choices, and a note that you have seen our cookie notice.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, retargeting or social-media trackers, and we do not build a profile of you for advertising.
- Two outside services see your IP address when a page loads: Google Fonts (typefaces) and jsDelivr (two small code libraries in the app). Stripe sets its own cookies if you go to its checkout page.
"Cookies" here also covers similar browser storage, such as localStorage, because that is where most of this is kept.
2. What we store on your device

These are first-party and are needed to give you the Service you asked for (staying signed in, remembering your settings) or are set only after you follow a referral link. Staff accounts store one more sign-in item that regular users never receive. We do not set a cookie to track you across other sites.
3. Requests to other services
Loading our pages makes your browser contact these services directly, so they can see your IP address and browser details. We do not control what they log, and they may set their own cookies:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com): serves the Inter, Fraunces and JetBrains Mono typefaces.
- jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net): serves two open-source libraries used inside the signed-in app.
- Stripe: only when you go to checkout or the billing portal. Those pages are run by Stripe and covered by its own cookie and privacy policies.

4. What we do not use
- No Google Analytics or any other analytics service
- No advertising, retargeting or conversion pixels
- No social-media widgets or embedded videos
- No fingerprinting
Because we do not use optional cookies, our notice does not ask you to choose between categories. If that changes, we will update this page, show you a choice before anything optional is loaded, and keep the "Essential" category on only because the site cannot work without it.
5. Managing and clearing storage
You can block or clear cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block or clear the items in the first rows of the table above, you will be signed out and your theme and layout will reset. The Service will not work without the sign-in token. To see the notice again, clear the compyle_consent cookie and the matching localStorage item.
6. Changes
We will update this page if we start using any new cookie or similar technology, and change the date at the top. If we add anything optional, we will ask for your choice first.
